Many people find it calming to keep their hands (and feet) busy in stressful situations and some studies also suggest that this behavior could lead to increased productivity. But unfortunately, the constant fidgeting, clicking and drumming can sometimes distract other people with the sounds and movements. So what do you do if you want to calm yourself down but at the same time don't want to drive those around you completely mad?
It's simple: you get a fidget cube! As passionate fidgeters, the creative minds behind this gadget have created something that you can play around with in everyday life without disturbing other people. On the six sides of the handy cube you will find various switches, buttons and other functions that will ensure that you never have to put the life of your ballpoint pen to the test again.
The following distraction options are available to you in detail:
- On page 1 you will find five buttons that you can press to your heart's content. To make sure you get your money's worth in meetings, libraries and other quiet environments, two of the buttons are silent and the remaining three make an audible click.
- On page 2 you will find a joystick that can be moved back and forth in a similar way to the analog sticks on controllers. So you can distract yourself with longing thoughts about your console or simply trace patterns on the go.
- Page 3 has a toggle switch that can be operated. If you flip it quickly, you will hear a click; if you press it gently, it changes position silently.
- The trough on page 4 is modeled on classic hand flatterers, which have a calming effect on many people in stressful situations.
- Page Number 5 is completely dedicated to rolling. Three small cogwheels and a metal ball literally invite you to turn, and the latter can also be pressed to trigger a click.
- The 6th page was inspired by the dial of an old telephone and spreads noticeable reassurance with circular movements.
