You've never heard of Schrödinger? No problem, we'll teach you the essentials in fast-forward! Basically, it's about a quantum mechanical paradox in which a cat in a closed box is brought into a state in which it is alive and dead at the same time and dead at the same time. This situation, which seems absurd at first glance, is made possible by the fact that an unstable atomic nucleus in the box radiates with a certain probability. The radiation in turn is measured by a Geiger counter, which releases the hydrogen cyanide via a mechanism as soon as radiation is detected.
